The blog from my previous visit can be found at https://returntofortsalem.com/2023/09/22/vancouver-pilgrimage-orpheum-theatre/
On that occasion I was only able to access that the foyer and the parts that were visible from the street. This time I went on a full guided tour and saw all parts of the theatre and much of the behind the scenes parts as well.
Address: 601 Smithe St, Vancouver, BC V6B 3L4, Canada
The tour started where Scylla and Anacostia started, at the Granville Street entrance. The theatre is very cluttered, lots of stuff everywhere, including in the entrance here. The first set of steps are out to the side, by the wall mirrors, then the next set join in the middle.

Then at the top of the steps was the table with the masks. This was brought in for the occasion.

This is the view looking up the steps.

Shane walks across the landing and goes left, behind the clutter – no I don’t mean the tour guides. On screen, we see him start to go down the stairs.

This is the view from the other side. From this direction, Shane would enter from the right and Scylla and Anacostia follow him and stop at the top of the stairs.

This is where most of the action takes place. We meet Tiffany and the Exarch is going to sacrifice her, but Scylla and Anacostia need to find a way to stop this happening and save Tiffany. Anacostia walks through the curtain to find a way to kill the power so the dampeners won’t work.

This is what is really behind the curtain. A short landing, then a staircase to the right leading down to the entrance hall. Despite seeing a lot of the behind the scenes rooms, we didn’t see the one where the fight took place. I think that must have been filmed at the studio.

I finally got to walk down Scylla’s staircase. I stood at the bottom of it two years ago, but walking down that staircase was one of the things I really wanted to do on this trip. Another goal achieved.

The main action took place at the foot of the staircase, which Scylla just walked down. The brass railings were removed for filming and replaced. There was a lot of clutter which was removed for filming.

There are more curtains behind the musicians which were covering up the exit to Seymour St.

This shows the view from outside the theatre, through the windows of the exit on Seymour St. Even if it is not possible to get into the building, there are still things to see from the outside.
